  • When is the Essex Pop Fest 2024?
    Essex Pop Fest takes place this year on Friday 12th July.
  • Where is the Essex Pop Fest taking place?
    Essex Pop Fest takes place in Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, Essex, RM11 1JU. The best entrance to come into the event site is via the Hornchurch Road or Abbs Cross Lane entrance
  • What acts are performing at the Essex Pop Fest?
    This year we are taking you back to the 00s with some of your favourite acts of the decade, the Festival stage will feature headline performances from Atomic Kitten, Gareth Gates, East 17, Big Brovaz and Booty Luv! It will be hosted by the DJing duo ‘He Knows, She Knows’, who will be playing all the top hits of the 90s and 00s!
  • How do I get to the Essex Pop Fest?
    The event takes place in Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, Essex, RM11 1JU. The site is close to Hornchurch Town Centre and near 2 underground stations – Hornchurch and Elm Park which are on the District Line. The site is also accessed by the following bus routes: 193, 248, 165, 372 and 252
  • What are the timings of the Essex Pop Fest?
    The gates open at 5pm. The concert is due to finish at 10:15pm. The bar shuts and site closes at 10:30pm
  • Does the Essex Pop Fest have any age restrictions?
    The Essex Pop Fest is an over 18s only event. You will require ID.
  • Can I bring a gazebo or parasol into the event?
    The event takes place in a public park close to Hornchurch Town Centre so it is easily accesses by a range of taxi companies and uber drivers.
  • Is there parking?
    There is a small public carpark inside the park close to the event site, which is free. However, we strongly advise you to take public transport.
  • Can I bring alcohol in to the event?
    No alcohol is permitted to be brought into the event. Security will check your bags on entry. There is an onsite bar serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. All money raised on the bar goes to the mental health charity Mind in Havering, Barking and Dagenham.
  • Can I bring food/soft drinks into the event?
    Your are not permitted to bring food or soft drinks into the Essex Pop Fest. There will be a wide variety of food and drink stalls inside the festival, serving up organic, vegetarian and vegan options. Each attendee is permitted to have one 500ml sealed bottle of water upon entry.
  • Can I bring a gazebo or parasol into the event?
    No gazebos or parasols are permitted inside the event. There will be marquees around the site for shade and shelter.
  • Can I purchase sun cream at the event?
    No sun cream will be on sale at the event. If it is a sunny day please make sure you bring plenty and also appropriate clothing.
  • Can I leave the event venue and come back?
    Yes you can. Please ask the security at the entrance/exit gate for a wristband.
  • Am I able to refill a water bottle at the event?
    Unfortunately, we do not have access to running water at the event. There are free cups of water available at the bar and bottles of water to purchase.
  • Can I bring a camping/folding/pop up chair into the event?
    Yes! You can also bring picnic blankets. There will be an area close to the stage which will be marked off as a ‘dancing area’. Please do not place any blankets or chairs in this area.
  • What are the ground conditions like at the Essex Pop Fest?
    The event takes place on a field in a public park. Some areas may be a little bumpy but it is generally flat!
  • Can I bring my dog to the Essex Pop Fest?
    No animals are permitted into the event with the exception of assistance dogs.
  • Can I smoke?
    Yes it is an outside event. Please do not smoke in enclosed spaces (i.e. marquees) and please extinguish cigarettes safely and appropriately. There will be sand buckets dotted around the event site.
  • Is this t a charity event?
    The Essex Fest is organised by the local mental health charity Mind in Havering, Barking and Dagenham and all money raised goes towards them to help support local people who are experiencing problems with their mental health.
  • What items may I not bring into the Essex Fest?
    The following may not be brought into the Venue: Alcohol Food and soft drinks (with the exception of one sealed 500ml bottle of water per person) Aerosols Glass, including perfume and aftershave bottles Illegal substances & Illegal/Legal highs (Including Nitrous Oxide) Any item which may reasonably be considered for use as an offensive weapon Portable Laser Equipment or Laser Pens Animals other than assistance dogs Items of clothing that can be adapted to fully cover the face are not permitted into the event Full face masks Professional audio, audio-visual, film, or video recording equipment Flares, bangers, fireworks, sparklers, Chinese lanterns and Naked Flames inc. tea lights No disposable BBQ’s or Gas cookers are permitted on site
  • Can I get a refund on my tickets?
    All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless the Essex Fest is cancelled by the Organiser.
  • Are there any concessions for carers?
    This is a fundraising event in aid of Mind in Havering, Barking & Dagenham and thus there are no concessions.
  • Can I get a taxi from the site?
    The event takes place in a public park close to Hornchurch Town Centre so it is easily accesses by a range of taxi companies and uber drivers.
